  • Therapy

We support individuals who struggle with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, specific learning disabilities, and other academic challenges through structured educational therapy sessions. Our specialized program provides individual and small group therapy sessions that are subjectively developed for the direct instruction of each individual. Students are taught to utilize their auditory, visual, and kinesthetic pathways to enhance memory and learning. These structured literacy therapy sessions focus on the foundational skills of language, such as phonology, phonics, morphology, syntax, vocabulary, and comprehension. Certified and licensed therapists use direct instruction to effectively teach the skills necessary for decoding, fluency, and comprehension. Additionally, other essential components, including handwriting, phonological awareness, encoding, and advanced language structure, are incorporated based on the specific needs of each individual.

  • Consulting/Coaching

Our consulting and coaching services provide schools and districts with valuable information and guidance on best practices for structured literacy education. Our consultations may involve participation in district multidisciplinary teams and administrative committees, leveraging our expertise as trained and certified specialists in structured literacy and dyslexia. Through our coaching services, we mentor and support educators by offering suggested strategies that are modeled in classrooms, encompassing general education instruction, small group settings, and individual instruction/remediation sessions. We focus on language skills building and provide hands-on drills to enhance learning experiences for both teachers and students.

Literacy Purpose, LLC trainings are nationally accredited and recognized by The International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC), The Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA), and the International Dyslexia Association (IDA).
